Clerical Medical announces TCF training

The TCF seminars will cover key areas such as:

* How to translate the TCF principles into practical action

* Tools and techniques for instant application

* Case studies from intermediaries and other sectors

* Access to market research to benchmark your position

* Measurement tool to track your progress – TCF scorecard

As well as offering intermediaries practical tips on how to implement TCF successfully, the seminars will consider the wider implications and demonstrate how TCF can be of value to the intermediary business.

Commenting on the seminars, David Shelton, head of intermediary strategic planning at Clerical Medical said, "TCF is one of the major initiatives for 2005/2006 and we want to ensure that intermediaries are well placed to deal with it efficiently. We hope that the programme of seminars we are offering will help intermediaries take full advantage of the opportunities presented by TCF, particularly around service and brand."

The FSA is encouraging financial services providers to get behind their latest initiative and states that "putting customers' interests at the heart of their business structures should be 'business as usual for firms. While we have seen encouraging signs of progress from the industry, there is still more to do before we can be satisfied that all firms are treating customers fairly". (Source: www.fsa.gov.uk).

Shelton explains, "We recognise that although as an industry we still have some way to go, our seminars will clarify all of the major issues around TCF for IFAs."

The seminars will run from 9 January 2006 – 9 February 2006 at twenty key locations across the UK (see table 1 for full list ) and are being hosted by David Shelton in conjunction with Lawrence Emm, Intermediary Development Consultant, Clerical Medical.

This latest initiative forms part of Clerical Medical’s ongoing Advice Matters programme, which provides a wide range of services designed to support intermediaries in growing their businesses.
