Bright Finance launches mortgage offering

Julian Entwistle, 46, who previously worked for Lloyds TSB and Platform, has been appointed managing director of Bright Mortgages to take the new business forward.

Bright Mortgages will work with a mortgage packager and five leading specialist lenders, to offer a variety of non-conforming mortgages, including adverse credit, buy-to-let, self-certification and right-to-buy, as well as stretched affordability and high Loan to Value.

A variety of mortgage-related insurance packages will be available from Bright Mortgages including life and critical illness, mortgage payment protection and buildings & contents, while a panel of solicitors has been chosen to deliver a rapid, high quality service.

Julian, who has moved from Portsmouth to Sheffield to set up this business unit, said: “This is a major new opportunity for the company to add to its secured loan operations. Many customers have asked Bright Finance for mortgages in the past, and the business has had to refer them all to other brokers. Bright Mortgages will bring much of this in house and will look to expand the volume of mortgage business rapidly.

“All the solicitors, insurance deals and lenders have been selected to offer a high quality package of products and services at competitive costs. This has been set up to enable Bright Mortgages to provide a quick and efficient service.

“Bright Mortgages is looking to attract referrals from other organisations that do not offer non-conforming mortgages and would simply like to earn income by providing mortgage leads. The business will offer progress reports on leads supplied, plus high conversion rates, attractive commission levels and rapid payments to introducers.”
