Keystone Property Finance relaunches green mortgages

Specialist buy-to-let lender Keystone Property Finance has reintroduced green mortgages to its range, with new products available at up to 80% loan-to-value (LTV).

Rates of the four new green mortgages start at 6.14% with a 5.5% fee.

To avail of the new products, landlords must be purchasing or refinancing a property with an energy performance certificate (EPC) rating of either ‘A’ or ‘B’.

Keystone was one of the first lenders to launch green mortgage products, rewarding landlords with eco-friendly properties when it first unveiled its proposition in April 2021.

The lender has also launched new two-year product transfer and switch and fix products, as well as a new suite of specialist five-year expat deals for those purchasing or refinancing a house in multiple occupation or a multi-unit freehold block. Its two-year product transfers now start at 7.44%, while its switch and fix range is available from 6.54% and its new five-year expat range from 6.59%.

As part of a major product overhaul, Keystone also announced rate cuts by up to 15 basis points on all of its five-year fixes. its 65% LTV five-year fixed rates now start at 5.89%, while its 75% LTV five-year fixed rates start at 5.99%.

“This is a major product refresh for us, one that makes our proposition even more competitive in the specialist end of the market,” commented Elise Coole (pictured), managing director at Keystone Property Finance. “In addition to these updates, we have also simplified our product range titles to help brokers find the best solution to their buy-to-let cases as efficiently as possible.

“While swap rates remain much higher than they were a year ago, they have stabilised of late, allowing us to pass on these rate reductions to brokers and their clients today. If market conditions allow us to make further cuts, we won’t waste any time in doing so.”
