Marsden Building Society is launching LMS Secure Link, a messaging service that streamlines the conveyancing process and improves case query turnaround times.

The Marsden will become the 10th lender to utilise LMS Secure Link, according to the platform’s developer, LMS – a conveyancer and panel management specialist.

According to LMS, the service enables law firms to raise common post offer queries with the lender to help firms achieve quicker responses and avoid delays to the conveyancing process. As part of the service, law firms can also securely request redemption statements from the lender to help speed up the conveyancing process for both purchase and remortgage transactions.

The building society’s launch with LMS Secure Link is part of its effort to drive efficiency in the conveyancing process, improving the speed and transparency of communication between itself and the law firm for each transaction, as well as making it much easier for the law firm to attain necessary documents.

The partnership, LMS said, demonstrates its commitment to moving the industry forward through collaboration, so that lenders and conveyancers can cope with growing pressure while improving customer satisfaction.

“There is no doubt that Secure Link has made a huge improvement in query turnaround times and redemption statement requests which has, in turn, eased the workload for both lenders and law firms,” Nick Chadbourne (pictured), chief executive at LMS, commented. “We’re confident that the Marsden will experience the benefits of our platform.

“We have exciting development plans for Secure Link already in the works, as we look to take a more cohesive platform-based approach to tech across the board. We have always strongly believed that digital transformation is the key to driving the mortgage market forward, and this partnership is a great example of how we are working to achieve that at LMS, and is also a testament to the hard work the whole team has put into our Secure Link service offerings.”

Heather Crinion, operations director at the Marsden Building Society, added that driving efficiencies in the conveyancing process will help them deliver a faster service to borrowers while easing the pressure on the team internally.

“Customer experience and satisfaction have always been important to us,” she said. “We aim to provide the best service we can so partnering with LMS on Secure Link will help us to continue doing this.

“The team at LMS understand the more complex areas of our business processes, and have worked with us to solve them. We’re looking forward to seeing the positive results this will have for us.”
