OSB appoints BDM for central region

Specialist lender OSB Group has announced the promotion of Samantha Brain (pictured) from office-based business development manager (BDM) to customer-facing external BDM covering the central region.

The group – which includes mortgage lending brands Precise Mortgages, Kent Reliance for Intermediaries, and InterBay – said Brain was promoted from her previous role, where she excelled in broker engagement and support, and built upon her expertise in the specialist lending arena.

OSB added that her background as a broker, as well as being CeMap qualified, combined with her four years as an office-based BDM means that she comes equipped with a breadth of experience.

Brain will be joining the lender’s network of field-based BDMs, supporting brokers and their clients with financial solutions from Precise Mortgages and Kent Reliance for Intermediaries.

Last month, the group announced two senior management promotions – Emily Hollands to head of distribution and Marc Callaghan to head of specialist finance – to strengthen its support to intermediaries.

“I’m delighted that Samantha has joined our field-based BDM team,” James Forth, head of sales at Precise Mortgages and Kent Reliance for Intermediaries, commented. “The knowledge and expertise she brings from her role as office based BDM will not only help to strengthen relationships, but knowledge of internal processes and teams means she is perfectly placed to help support brokers throughout their lending journeys.

“We have a strong focus on developing colleague knowledge and skills to provide opportunities for career growth through our extensive in-house training programs, as well as mentoring and coaching opportunities. It’s something that we take very seriously, and I’m delighted that Sam has chosen to continue her career path with us.”

Commenting on her promotion, Brain said she had always felt well supported with her career development and growth at OSB.

“Having worked closely with the field-based BDMs in my role as office-based BDM, I’ve learnt so much, and I’m looking forward to joining the field team and meeting my broker clients,” she added.
