Brokers, lenders and BDMs have until 3 July to enter Australia's most prestigious mortgage industry awards
Time is running out for mortgage professionals across Australia to enter the 2026 Australian Mortgage Awards (AMAs), with nominations closing on Friday, 3 July 2026.
Presented by Mortgage Professional Australia and AustralianBroker, the awards recognise outstanding achievement across every corner of the industry — and this year's program spans more than 20 categories.
Nominations opened on 1 June, and the window to enter is now less than a fortnight away from closing. Brokers, brokerages, lenders, aggregators, and business development managers who have not yet submitted their entries are urged to act now.
Who can enter the 2026 AMAs?
The awards program covers a broad range of individual and organisational categories. Broker nominees can enter across residential, commercial, specialist lending, productivity, and regional specialisations.
The Bendigo Bank Broker Young Gun of the Year is also open to any broker aged 35 or under as at 1 June 2026, provided they were accredited on or after 1 June 2024.
Brokerage categories accommodate firms of all sizes — from the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) Brokerage of the Year for offices with one to five staff, through to the Commonwealth Bank Brokerage of the Year for operations of more than 20.
Specialist categories recognise regional brokerages, new entrants, diversified businesses, and individual offices demonstrating best-in-class client service.

For those working in BDM roles, awards recognise excellence across aggregator, major bank, non-major bank, and non-bank channels — a reflection of how central third-party distribution has become to Australia's mortgage market.
Lender, aggregator and industry recognition
The 2026 program also covers lender and aggregator performance. Categories include Bank of the Year, Non-Bank of the Year, Fintech Lender of the Year, Mortgage Manager of the Year, and Aggregator of the Year — offering recognition for institutions making a measurable difference to brokers and borrowers alike.
Beyond performance, the AMAs acknowledge broader industry contributions. The Titan Capital Best Industry Marketing Campaign and NAB Best Industry Service categories reward organisations elevating the profession. The ANZ Woman of Distinction award, meanwhile, recognises an outstanding female or non-binary individual in any facet of the mortgage industry whose personal and professional achievements have earned them a place among the industry's best.
The two national honours — the Westpac Australian Broker of the Year and the Liberty Australian Brokerage of the Year — are not open for direct nominations. Finalists are drawn from the winners of the respective individual categories, with recipients announced on the night.
Judges and key dates
This year's judging panel includes Helen Avis, director of finance at Specialist Mortgage; Cory Bannister, senior vice president and chief lending officer at La Trobe Financial; Adam Brown, executive of broker distribution at National Australia Bank (NAB); and Anja Pannek, chief executive of the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA).
Excellence awardees will be announced on Monday, 10 August, ahead of the gala dinner at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney on Friday, 16 October 2026.
With nominations closing in days, now is the time for eligible professionals to put their work forward.
