AMP Bank adds 50 brokers to pilot digital lending platform

AMP Bank is stepping up its digital transformation efforts by expanding the pilot of its digital origination platform to 50 mortgage brokers.

The latest rollout follows a successful initial pilot earlier this month with a smaller cohort of brokers and their support teams. In that early stage, home loan applications were already being submitted, assessed and settled using the new system.

The platform has been co-designed in partnership with brokers and fintech specialists including Simpology, MSA National and Fortiro under the goal of simplifying and speeding up the end-to-end mortgage process.

AMP is aiming to officially launch the platform to the full broker market in the coming months.

Melissa Christy (pictured), AMP’s head of lending origination, said: “Since day one, this platform has been shaped by brokers, for brokers. We’ve worked side-by-side with a core group since last year to design a system that delivers what matters most – speed, simplicity and great client outcomes.”

More than 90% of AMP home loans are written through brokers, Christy noted.

Vasco Fonseca, the founder of Five Dock Finance who took part in the pilot, added: ”AMP Bank’s new platform is fresh, intuitive, and helps get clients out of the market faster with less back and forth. Income is digitally verified, transparency is high, and communication with credit assessors is seamless.”
