Why caring about your clients is key

For this edition of MI Talk, we meet Serena Smith, a mortgage and protection advisor, who has her own business, Mortgages With Serena. She talks passionately about the importance of empathy as a broker and how a joy in helping people achieve their goals led her to become an advisor. Sharing her life on social media, Smith has successfully built a business which takes a more informal approach to broker services and, she believes, connects better with younger clients. Having just moved into her ‘dream home’ she understands what it means to the people who seek her advice.
