Wizard Learning launches online RDR qualifications review

The RDR presentation represents Wizard’s first audiovisual creation after a significant investment in its technological development. It is currently implementing plans to add even more complex presentations to its courses in early 2009.

Advisers can access the RDR presentation from a link on the homepage of http://www.wizardlearning.com or directly via the link http://www.wizardlearning.com/learning_material/RDR/player.html

Mike Goldsmith, managing director at Wizard Learning, commented:

“It has been some time in coming but at last the FSA has released its RDR proposals and, as expected, investment advisers will now be required to obtain the minimum acceptable standard of a QCA level 4 qualification.

“The deadline for achieving this standard - end of 2012 - should not set too many pulses racing; however we have experienced a marked increase in interest for diploma level learning and revision material from our clients long before the FSA’s announcement. The desire for advisers to continue improving skills and knowledge whilst fulfilling busy roles remains truly admirable.

“It is interesting that the regulator has proposed these standards for all advisers whether independent or tied. This will help enable greater customer choice of adviser whilst being satisfied that they meet the same professional standards.”
