Webline goes live with eApplications from Friends Provident

The new electronic application forms will enable Webline users to submit the following Friends Provident products online through the "Webline window":

- Income Portfolio Bond

- Income Distribution Bond

- Level Term Assurance

- Mortgage Protection

As well as the time and cost efficiencies of using online applications, advisers who now submit Friends Provident E-applications via Webline will also receive enhanced commission, with 10% uplift for term business and 0.25% for bonds.

Webline has recently signed a long-term contract with Practiv to integrate their In-Site technology into its market-leading quotation and fulfilment offering. In-Site is a suite of ISML and XForms products based on Origo messaging standards. It was created by Practiv to meet the needs of product providers and distributors seeking to improve operational efficiency. In-Site allows applications for products to be completed and submitted online. Friends Provident, who are also using Practiv’s In-Site, is the first product provider to complete testing of its existing ISML forms with Webline using the In-Site product.

John Willis, technical director for Webline, said:

“We are already the fastest-growing online quotation platform, and this new service will result in a faster, smoother user experience for IFAs and protection specialists, enabling them to search and recommend products, obtain quotations and submit new business online.

In-Site technology from Practiv enables us to fulfil our vision to be the intermediaries’ service supplier of choice, by delivering reliable and innovative solutions. We are constantly striving to improve our services, and In-Site will help us ensure that we can deliver reliability and performance to our 11,000+ users.”

Dave Mace, head of e-business at Friends Provident, said:

"We are delighted to support Webline’s online new business submission service. We have also taken the Practiv In-Site viewer product and integrated it into our IFA extranet so making it possible for IFAs to have easy access to our online application forms, in addition to our comprehensive online servicing facilities.”

The new Friends Provident eApplications will be available not only to those intermediaries who subscribe directly to Webline, but also to members of 25 networks who have adopted Webline's dedicated network management capabilities.
