Virtual Net launches 'School of Excellence'

The online support area within the Virtual Net portal includes an electronic news magazine, supplied by Tony Wickenden and the team from Technical Connections, as well as copies of all presentations from the face to face events and much more.

The School of Excellence offers Virtual Net's leading IFAs the opportunity to get together in an environment where they can learn and share ideas with each other in a relaxed but business-like way. Working with the senior team from Virtual Net and 6 leading providers (Abbey, Clerical Medical, Friends Provident, L&G, Scottish Equitable and Standard Life) every quarter there is a day with a special opportunity for like minded individuals to meet and exchange business ideas that could be the foundation for the next advice solution for clients.

The first event for School of Excellence will be held on 2nd November 2004 at Kilworth House Hotel, Leicestershire. Over 30 people will attend this exclusive invitation-only meeting but afterwards all output will be shared with the entire network membership through the online support area.

Junior Sobowale, CEO of Virtual Net, says, "Virtual Net is a very cost efficient network to member as we all work to strip out wasted costs and duplication. However there is also a time where interaction is of benefit and the Schools of Excellence have been established to serve that purpose.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with these 6 product providers to enhance the overall service to all of our members and, therefore, the clients that our members service. I think this is an important development for the professionalism of the IFA sector as a whole.”

Our members want to transact business online for their clients, provide advice to clients on Pensions A-Day and generally continually improve their service offering to clients. Virtual Net, through its new Schools of Excellence and face-to-face meetings, explores the opportunities and the benefits for everybody.”
