Vantage launches UNIFi

UNIFi is intended to support smaller and newly started brokers in the areas of business they will encounter in the initial stages, with support and advice offered for areas such as marketing, compliance and administration.

The concept is intended to give intermediaries a forum to talk to someone who can advise them, while retaining complete control over their clients and business.

Commenting on the proposition launch, Patrick Bamford, director at UNIFi, said: “People can get whatever they want from it, we can help support it. New brokers do feel isolated and by joining UNIFi they can feel part of a network. They can get together with other brokers and talk about the issues that affect their business.

“At the moment they will rely on lenders’ bulletins which will only give facts. We can summarise and give opinions while explaining. You will often find that trade associations won’t repeat details on standard areas while we can explain on legislation and payment protection insurance which may not be very straightforward.”

Paul White, consultant at Belgravia, commented: “I imagine that the target market will be people with some experience and not red raw into the industry. It is a free market and I’m sure the service will either survive or thrive but it will be a viable service for people setting up.”
