UTB announces new sales team appointments

United Trust Bank (UTB) Mortgages for Intermediaries has announced new appointments within its sales team, aimed at enhancing support for introducers amid the bank’s expansion efforts.

Chris Pedlar (pictured right) and Jigar Patel (pictured left) have been appointed as heads of specialist distribution for the North and South, respectively. Their roles will encompass overseeing intermediary sales from UTB’s packaging partners and serving as primary contacts for major broker accounts.

Both Pedlar and Patel are tasked with building and maintaining key partnerships, as well as conducting strategic meetings with firms to foster service improvements and quality within their territories to benefit customers.

Meanwhile, Hannah Oades (pictured centre) has been named head of clubs and networks. She will focus on the strategic growth of club and network accounts, a segment UTB has notably expanded in the past year. Her responsibilities include driving further expansion and overseeing the development of new partnerships aligned with UTB’s strategic goals.

All three will report to Caroline Mirakian, director of sales and marketing for mortgages at United Trust Bank.

“Chris, Jigs, and Hannah have had a brilliant last year and made substantial contributions to the development of UTB’s mortgage business,” Mirakian said. “Their new roles recognise their hard work and expand their responsibilities, giving them new challenges and incentives to maintain the tremendous progress they have made.

“UTB loves its brokers, and so building scalable support to our introducers as we grow, is critical to our service proposition.”
