UNIFi joins AFB

The network for secured loan broker firms offers secured loan brokers a wide range of services including fast-track accreditation, a vast whole-of-market lender panel covering all product features and criteria, market-leading commissions, plus access to support services such as compliance, marketing, management information and IT.

Through its membership of the AFB UNIFi members will be kept up-to-date with ongoing industry developments and have access to the range of information the AFB currently makes available.

Patrick Bamford, Managing Director of UNIFi, commented: “We are delighted to have joined the AFB as affiliate members. As a relatively new launch into the secured loan market we are fully aware of the need for a strong body representing the interests of secured loan brokers at a time when the sector faces an increasing number of regulatory and market challenges.

“Our membership of the AFB shows our ongoing commitment to the secured lending market and, through the AFB, UNIFi will take a full part in debating the issues that dominate our market. We have joined the AFB to support its ongoing work and ensure that UNIFi members have a voice within their industry trade body, and in a wider sense with the policy makers and decision takers who currently shape our market.”

Robert Sinclair, Director of the AFB, said: “The Association of Finance Brokers (AFB) is delighted to welcome UNIFi as our latest Affiliate member. The addition of firms like UNIFi to the secured loans industry is a further clear indication that firms are looking to raise quality and standards. The AFB is absolutely supportive of the objectives of UNIFi in trying to increase best practice across the industry. The team at UNIFi and the AFB are agreed that we are facing a period of unprecedented change. We look forward to working with the management team at UNIFi, who have a host of experience in the industry, to ensure that as many brokers and lenders as possible are aware of an effective way to deal with the many issues facing us.”
