Towergate provides solicitors’ independent financial advice

SIFA, which was established in 1992 and is recognised by the Financial Services Authority as a trade association, has created a directory of fee-based independent financial advisers which has been endorsed by the Law Society for use by solicitors, and Towergate Financial have satisfied the demanding criteria for inclusion.

Towergate Financial has expertise in areas allied to the role of the solicitor in family, private client and corporate matters, including pensions, investment and individual and business protection. SIFA provides the training, marketing, compliance and other services which assist solicitors and financial advisers to work together for the benefit of their clients.

SIFA is a Law Society accredited provider of training to solicitors and Towergate Financial will be using SIFA webcasts, seminars and breakfast meetings to ensure that solicitors are fully conversant with the implications of the Legal Services Act, which comes into operation in October 2011 and will encourage interaction between members of different professions.

Ian Darby, CEO of Towergate Financial said, “Towergate is one of a new breed of financial advisers, which shares the culture and standards of the established professions and makes us an ideal partner for solicitors. In many areas legal advice is incomplete without financial input, and for solicitors who are sufficiently switched on to the changing world of professional services, we can fill that gap.”
