TMA bolsters conveyancing panel

The link will enable TMA members direct access to the BM Conveyancing proposition which allows clients to choose a law firm by price, location or client rating and brokers can also add local solicitors to the panel. It also offers the guarantee that if there is no completion then no legal fee will be charged.

Ongoing dedicated support alongside online case tracking, a simple registration process and online training demos are all integral ingredients to the BM Conveyancing offering, alongside healthy referral rates of up to £200 per case.

The addition of BM Conveyancing to TMA’s panel gives members a range of comprehensive conveyancing services whether clients are buying, selling or remortgaging their properties.

Phil Whitehouse, head of TMA, said: “The days are long gone when mortgage intermediaries can afford to let their clients run the chance of choosing their own conveyancing organisation or worse still ignore the opportunity of recommending a conveyancer.

"As such we are delighted to have linked up with BM Conveyancing as they have a wealth of experience in the intermediary market backed up by a great technological offering. This link will further the TMA conveyancing proposition and enable members to provide their clients with further access to highly competitive fees and good quality accountable service for extra control. This addition complements our other conveyancing offerings perfectly as we continue looking at ways to add true value to our member’s propositions.”

Phil Rickards, head of sales at BM Solutions, said: "During 2010 we've seen sales of BM Conveyancing rise sharply month on month as more and more intermediaries discover how easy and convenient the system is to use. As well as the sort of 5-star service brokers have come to expect from BM, intermediaries can earn good rates of commission to help to build a valuable additional income stream. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with TMA and working closely to support its members in this area of the market.”

Andrew Burton, Independent Mortgage Adviser at Franklyn Alexander LLP, added: “I was a little skeptical at first when given the concept of the online solicitors but in reality this has really helped my business in a number of ways. The main benefits to us as the brokers is that we can retain control on the clients buying process whilst being provided with an additional income which can help in these difficult times. I find, all in all, that using BM Conveyancing has really helped both my income levels and the service I can offer to my clients as a whole.”
