The Mortgage Introducer Awards are back

Mark the date – the biggest night on the mortgage calendar is coming

The Mortgage Introducer Awards are back

After a hugely successful three years at the Tower of London, a very special virtual ceremony in 2020 and our biggest event to date last year at Old Billingsgate, the Mortgage Introducer Awards will return, in person, for a sixth consecutive year on November 28, 2022.

Boasting an all-new process, the 2022 awards are designed to promote and celebrate the outstanding achievements of businesses, individuals and unsung heroes within the intermediary mortgage market over the past 12 months.

This year Mortgage Introducer has consolidated the nomination process into one simple, streamlined step. During the initial nomination stage, nominees will provide a detailed submission form, which the new, dedicated in-house research team will validate and use to determine a shortlist of Excellence Awardees in each category.

Submission forms will compose the foundation of the selection process performed by an independent panel of expert judges, who will review submissions and vote to determine the ultimate winners in each category.

Coupled alongside the well-respected Mortgage Introducer name and the rigorous independent selection process these awards are known for, the new and enhanced nomination procedure will increase accessibility while maintaining impeccable standards.

Not only will this straightforward process maximise nominations from outstanding individuals and businesses, but it will also advance the prestige of the accolade and award itself.

Alongside the chance to win these prestigious awards, attending the glittering event is the perfect opportunity to network and bump elbows with the sector’s finest in exclusive surroundings with a dynamic party atmosphere.

“We are proud to have won at the Mortgage Introducer Awards. Since they made their return to the calendar a few years ago, they remain a great way to cap off a year and celebrate the success across our industry,” said one of last year’s winners, William Lloyd-Hayward, group chief operating officer of Brightstar Financial.

“Hosted in iconic locations they are always a fun event with excellent networking opportunities,” Lloyd-Hayward added.

Lloyd-Hayward explained that Brightstar Financial put energy into winning the award, from canvassing votes of its partner and customers, to spending time putting together well thought out and focused testimonials to help celebrate the firm’s success.

Winner of the Conveyancing/Legal Business of the Year award, Melissa Tallon, partner and head of bridging at Lightfoots Solicitors, said: “Our industry has been put under such strain and scrutiny over the past year that simply delivering the same standard of service could, to some extent, be considered an achievement.”

She went on to add that for Lightfoots to have won the Conveyancing/Legal Business of the Year award was a wonderful acknowledgement that showed the efforts of its lender finance team had not gone unnoticed.

“We are proud to have been recognised at such a prestigious awards ceremony within the mortgage industry. Thank you to everyone who voted for us and for the continued support,” she added.

Another winner of last year’s awards, Sarah Tucker, managing director of The Mortgage Mum, said: “This award meant so much to us. It was a real moment that we had all been working towards since we launched the business, and it felt even better than we imagined it would.”

Tucker explained that the firm’s application for the awards was heartfelt and passionate, and the company really wanted to show how hard it was working and its core values.

“The MI Awards are an incredible accolade, and we are so thankful to be seen and celebrated in this way. I felt so grateful that the judges could see and feel this and wanted to celebrate us,” Tucker outlined.

She said that The Mortgage Mum’s mission was to make an impact on the industry and demonstrate a brand-new way of working.

“That being said, when our name was called, our jaws dropped, and we all screamed in delight! It was truly special and a moment we will always remember,” Tucker added.
