Tenet confirms 260 events for 2012

Despite the obvious priority of RDR qualification, Tenet confirmed the schedule incorporates an equally-important focus on transitional support, CPD and business generation.

“RDR will inevitably be the centre of attention, but it is also important that IFAs are supported in their everyday activities and business focus,” commented distribution & development director, Keith Richards.

“Although we are all in a state of transition and increasing preparedness for RDR, many new commercial opportunities will be presenting themselves and we aim to educate and equip advisers to take advantage.”

To facilitate that, Tenet has organised a series of 130 forums, roadshows and workshops at 17 different locations, covering a wide range of topics from compliance, investment and regulations to mortgages, protection and retirement.

A total of 18 roadshows will be dedicated to the new advice requirements - to help advisers better understand the choices that face them on whether to develop an independent advice strategy, or follow a restricted path.

Significant exposure will also be given to the company’s new ‘financial planning service’ and platform selection.

A further 130 dates have also been confirmed on the training front, not surprisingly dominated by qualifying and gap-fill events. These will be supplemented by a comprehensive selection of mortgage & protection and equity release courses, as well as more than 90 days of exam training and supervisor tuition.
