Teachers joins L&G mortgage club

Teachers was established to help teachers and those people who have a direct or close working relationship with education to own their own home and also offer them a range of saving products.

Mortgage Introducer first broke the story that Teachers would partner with L&G back in May when Teachers also announced they would return to the intermediary market.

Martyn Smith, head of mortgage products, Legal & General Mortgage Club, said: “I am delighted to welcome Teachers to the Mortgage Club.

"They have a dedicated team that offer a unique and bespoke underwriting service with a very personalised customer service. Our members now have access to a range of mortgages specifically for those working in education.”

Alan Gravett, head of sales and marketing for Teachers, said: “We returned to the Intermediary market in May and so are now delighted to be joining the Legal & General Mortgage Club. We have been providing mortgages for professionals working in education for nearly 50 years and we are confident that our products and expertise in this field will prove a valuable support to mortgage intermediaries.”
