Surge in demand for CII revision courses

Analysis of results in 2004 shows that attending a CII revision course can improve the chance of exam success by as much as 53%.

The numbers of candidates sitting CIIinsurance examinations has increased in the past 12 months, due in no small part to the onset of the FSA regime in January and the consequent need to demonstrate compliance. It is clear that examinations and qualifications are forming an integral part of Training & Competence activity in the regulated insurance marketplace.

Rod Davis, CII Face-to-Face training manager says, "For employers, getting candidates through their exams at the first time of asking is clearly essential. It reduces cost, saves time, boosts morale and leads to a workforce that is capable and efficient. CII revision courses are delivered by subject experts and highly skilled tutors and are a proven success."

Additional courses have been added to the programme to meet the increase in demand, particularly in the compulsory Advance Diploma in Insurance subject "Risk, regulation and capital adequacy" and the "Business practice" Diploma in Insurance unit.

Courses cover a broad range of units acrossthe entire CII insurance qualification framework from Certificate to Advanced Diploma level. One-day and intensive two-day courses are available, running in the weeks leading up to the exam sessions and are held at venues around the UK.The CII also offers to run courseson an in-house basis, subject to a minimum number of candidates.
