The consultations will be available at the 30th Anniversary Conference of the SLC in Derby on 13 November.
The Society of Licensed Conveyancers (SLC) have added consultations for solicitors interested in switching to the regulation of The Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) to its conference in Derby on 13 November.
The CLC will be available to speak to any parties interested in the concept of switching regulator.
Those interested will be able to book a session with the CLC at no additional cost as well as engage with members of the SLC board who can provide feedback on operating as licensed conveyancers.
The feature was added following a growing number of solicitor firms expressing interest in moving to the regulation of the CLC.
Val Holmes, chairperson of the SLC, said: ‘With an ever increasing number of solicitor firms switching their regulation to the CLC, and many others expressing a real interest in the concept, the society wants to play an active role in helping these firms learn more about what is involved.
"There are many SLC members who have made the switch, including a number of our board members, and we can offer practical advice and guidance on what it entails and what the benefits are of doing so."
Stephen Ward, director of strategy and external relations at the CLC, added: ‘We are delighted to have this opportunity to engage first-hand with property or probate specialists that may have an interest in knowing more about CLC regulation and whether it is right for their practice.
"The 30th Anniversary Conference of the SLC seems like a very appropriate event to build further awareness of what the CLC offers as a specialist regulator."
