Skipton appoints new head of marketing

Rachel comes to the Society with a wealth of experience in both the building societies sector and marketing; she previously spent eight years with Northern Rock after joining as a graduate trainee in 1992, and was promoted to senior product manager in 2000, before moving to a similar position with First Active. Here, after a promotion to head of marketing, she saw the company through two rebrands, to Britannic Money and then to The Mortgage Trust.

Taking up the newly created role with Skipton, Rachel is responsible for the Society’s complete marketing mix, across all communication channels. Rachel has a Masters degree in marketing and is currently relocating to Yorkshire from London.

Commenting on her new role, Rachel said, “I’m glad to be returning to the North of England to what is a very unique and thriving building society. Taking up this newly created role with Skipton is an exciting and challenging opportunity, I’m looking forward to marketing a full range of financial services products through all of the Society’s routes to market and the beautiful Yorkshire setting is just a bonus!”
