Skipton appoints new head of corporate investments

In her new role, Liz will be responsible for managing any further acquisitions to the 18-strong Skipton Group, whilst overseeing relationships and communication within the Group. Liz joined the Society in 1990 and worked her way up through a variety of roles, including stores supervisor and office services manager, before joining corporate investments as a project manager in August 2001. In the last two years, Liz has been involved in many projects and several acquisitions for the Group, including Direct Life & Pensions Ltd, Industrial Equipment Finance Ltd, Pearson Jones Plc and The Private Health Partnership Ltd.

Commenting on her new appointment, Liz said, "With currently 17 subsidiaries plus the Society, the Skipton Group has shown immense growth in the past few years. Given the diversification within the Group, head of corporate investments is a crucial role to fill and one which is a fantastic opportunity for me personally. I have thoroughly enjoyed my 13 years with Skipton Building Society and am obviously pleased that the Society has continued its recent trend of internal promotion to this position."
