Skills exchanged by ifs

The day will help those in the financial services industry find ways of improving their performance by exposing them to skill sets from individuals at the top of their profession - from outside the financial services community.

The event is aimed primarily at customer facing staff; sales teams; anyone aiming to improve their influencing skills; and anyone who manages other members of staff.

Sessions will include how to successfully influence others - given by Wasps Rugby coaching team, how to deal with difficult people led by British Airways cabin crew, coping with crisis led by the Territorial Army and building self-confidence under the guidance of a Barnardos School Teacher. Those who attend can also look forward to gaining Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits.

Karen Warden, Head of Executive Education at the ifs School of Finance said: "This event follows on from previous successful skills exchange days held at both Chelsea and Arsenal football grounds and promises to be the most inspiring to date. We are delighted to have so many leaders in their respective fields coming together to impart their knowledge to those working in the financial services industry. As previous skills exchange days have proven, employees in financial services can take away highly transferable skills that probably would not have been gained from other practitioners within their own areas. The unique learning environment also plays a big part in making Skills Exchange days a success and Old Trafford will certainly be no exception!”
