Scottish IFAs to have their say

This input will help shape the development of future services.

Following the success of the recent focus group held in London in January, Origo is holding another workshop for IFAs in Glasgow. Led by Robert Reid, former chair of SOFA, Money Marketing columnist and practising IFA, the event will be held on 14th April 2004 in the Baird Lounge, at Hampden Park, Glasgow.

The purpose of the session will be to obtain feedback from IFAs on industry issues and to provide them with the opportunity to input into the future development of e-commerce within the sector.

Services to be discussed at the workshop include:

* Client reviews

* Standard fact find

* Data aggregation

* Product provider extranets

Paul Pettitt, managing director of Origo, said: "E-commerce is making a real difference to services in the life and pensions industry, but there is still a lot more that can be done to improve processes between IFAs and providers. A major priority for Origo this year is to develop a blueprint for the industry that maps out how all of the e-commerce standards link together. IFAs need to be part of this development and speak up about their needs and ideas."

Origo was launched in June 1989 to facilitate the development of electronic trading between principals and agents for life, pensions and collective investment business.
