Royal Bank of Scotland joins Zurich Mortgage Network lender panel

Announcing the appointment Richard Coulson, Director of the Zurich Mortgage Network, praised Royal Bank’s strong focus on customer satisfaction: "The Royal Bank of Scotland has a winning combination of products, service and lending criteria tailored to the needs of borrowers. Like Zurich, Royal Bank’s primary objective is to make the mortgage process as simple and straightforward as possible.

"They offer a comprehensive choice of fixed rate, self-certification, flexible, buy to let and professional mortgage and remortgage options. They also have award winning no-deposit mortgages* which enable every buyer to get a foot on that all-important first rung.

"I believe the scope of our proposition is now second to none. We can offer a solution for every lifestyle, including those seeking products from the subprime and packager market."

The new signing brings the total number of premier panel lenders to 19, processing around £15bn of business each year, with applications currently running at around 11,000 per month.

Joe Flynn, Head of Intermediary Sales at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: "We are delighted to be appointed to the Premier Panel of Zurich Mortgage Network. Our relationship with Zurich has developed over the last couple of years and we know that they provide a full range of products and service to meet the needs of their customers. Together we will provide a total solution for all Zurich customers.

"Also, with the regulation of mortgages set for the end of October, we are pleased to be working with a recognised leader in the provision of compliant processes and management."
