Responsible Life announces new head of business development

Responsible Group has announced that it has appointed Sara Robinson (pictured) as head of business development at Responsible Life, the group’s later life broker.

Robinson, who has worked in financial services for over two decades, joins from Equity Release Associates, part of Age Partnership Group. She previously worked for Key Retirement Solutions and Skipton Financial Services.

“It’s very exciting to have Sara onboard to help us grow these incredibly important channels,” Tim Waterlow, managing director at Responsible Life, said. “We want to become the destination of choice for advisers wishing to build and develop their businesses in this sector.”

Commenting on her appointment, Robinson remarked that it is “the perfect time to join Responsible” as it is now “one of the fastest moving parts of the financial services landscape as issues such as inflation, the pension gap and loan affordability combine to fuel rapid growth in specialist later life lending.”

Robinson is the group’s third senior hire over the past month, and her appointment comes after the later life specialist named Tom Moloney as Responsible Life’s new advice director and brought in Chris Flowers as intermediary sales director at its lending arm, Responsible Lending.
