Renaissance Asset Finance boosts business development team

Renaissance Asset Finance (RAF) has expanded its business development team with the appointments of Ian Homer, Henry Crame, and Jay Lucas as senior relationship managers.

The hires are part of RAF’s strategy to expand and solidify its presence across the UK and industry sectors they cover.

Homer, who will be responsible for business development in the West Midlands and North of England, has 15 years of experience in asset finance and commercial banking. A chartered banker, he has held several roles, previously working at NatWest, Lombard, and recently, Close Brothers.

Crame, who joins RAF to extend its geographical reach into Wales, the North of England and Scotland, brings a wealth of experience across financial services, with a wide range of roles from credit underwriter to banking officer. He has worked at Wesleyan Bank and the Bank of Cyprus.

Lucas, who will be focusing on growing business in the Midlands and the East of England, will utilise his 12 years of experience supporting businesses and private individuals to obtain the assets they require through asset finance. He has held roles at Santander and Arkle Finance, part of the Weatherby group.

Mark Lester (pictured), joint managing director at Renaissance Asset Finance, said the company has been careful making sure that it builds the best possible team to move the business forward.

“Our latest additions to the team bring both sound sector experience and a strong relationship focus. Ian, Jay, and Henry tick every box – they have a deep understanding of the specialist asset finance sector and reflect the values we believe in,” Lester added.

“We are delighted to welcome them to the sales team, and I feel confident they will hit the ground running at RAF in partnership with our nationwide broker network.”

Commenting on his new role, Homer said he was excited.

“After hearing great things about the business, I was keen to have an opportunity to join the team and bring the focus locally to my region. I am passionate about building meaningful, long-term business relationships and I look forward to offering the broker market the great products and services available at RAF,” he stated.

Crame also looks forward to learning from the team, and driving the firm into new areas in the years ahead.

Lucas, for his part, added that he understands the needs of a core element of RAF’s client base.

“I also have experience building relationships with clients, ensuring I tailor the right solutions to help them achieve their ambitions. I look forward to adding my expertise to the relationship-led approach that is front and centre at Renaissance Asset Finance,” Lucas said.

RAF is the asset finance subsidiary of private and commercial bank Arbuthnot Latham. It provides funding facilities, both direct and through brokers, to help small and medium-sized enterprises and high-net-worth individuals manage cash flow and access the right business assets.
