Quest urges property sector not to ‘rest on its laurels’

The request comes following the recent CML seminar at which a majority of the attending mortgage lenders admitted they had no strategy in place to cater for either the June 06 Home Information Pack dry run or the full launch in January 07.

The Quest sponsored CML Housing Act seminar, included keynote speeches from the ODPM, CML, Nationwide, abbey and LMS, and focused on providing a realistic update on the steps required for the industry to be ready to support the introduction of the HIP.

Previewing its own printed and electronic HIP at the conference, Quest was able to demonstrate its capabilities for developing, collating, sharing and controlling the content of the pack. Tom Parker, managing director, said: “During the panel debate I chaired, it was clear that a level of education is required in the marketplace regarding the pack. We want to make it clear that we are in an ideal position to help manage this process using our technologies, and are happy to offer advice to those seeking assistance or input into their HIP strategy.”

Concludes Parker: “It really is very simple. Quest has a solid reputation for providing effective technologies in this mortgage valuation marketplace, and the provision of the HIP is no exception.”
