Quest Associates and NLIS SearchflowTeam up at Mortgage Business Expo 2004

Both businesses will be demonstrating how panel managers and lenders are now able to automatically request for searches and surveyors reports electronically through the Quest systems. This is ideal for the onset of the Home Information Pack where instant access to such data will be essential.

In addition, Quest will be demonstrating its Computer Assisted Reappraisal (CAR) solution, a fast track, cost effective way of determining an accurate property valuation, without the need for a physical inspection. Designed for use in low risk situations, CAR speeds up the mortgage reappraisal process four-fold by providing the essential data required to complete a mortgage valuation online. Using CAR, reappraisals are performed in the office and can be signed off on the day they are received.

Also, NLIS Searchflow will be proving that electronic conveyancing is a reality. It will demonstrate how conveyancers can order and receive searches instantly from a desktop PC, saving time, money and reducing risk for the buyer and lender. Sixty per cent of local authorities currently benefit from an electronic connection to NLIS – this is expected to dramatically increase over the coming months to meet the government’s target of 100% by the end of 2005.

Comments Tom Parker, managing director, Quest Associates: “We very much look forward to demonstrating the sophisticated technologies now available to everyone involved in the mortgage application process – from the lenders and surveyors, through to panel managers and conveyancers. Help is at hand to save time, money and ultimately improve the service the customer receives.”

Adds Simon A Coulthurst, Sales & Marketing Manager – NLIS Searchflow: “Searchflow made a joint announcement, with Newcastle based legal firm Dickinson Dees, a few weeks ago about our SPI (Searchflow PISCES based Interface). An interface that provides the first stage of eConveyancing for busy conveyancers, passing information – in both directions – between Searchflow’s system and the case management software they use. We are delighted to be working with Quest Associates on further exciting initiatives for the future of the property market. One of which we will unveil at the Expo!”

Visitors to the stand will be able to meet with key representatives from both Quest and NLIS Searchflow to discuss the changing pace of the mortgage sector.
