PTP unveils franchise proposition

It will launch on 1 March initially with 12 Partners who will be based countrywide. Personal Touch Packaging will continue to do the initial Decision in Principle at their office in Southend. The Franchise Partners will then be responsible for the whole of the mortgage process including instructing survey and liaising with lenders.

The Partners have been selected based on their ability to be able to adhere to the strict administration requirements and business volumes.

The main objective for PTP will be to widen distribution through their Franchise Partners. These partners will look at assisting other intermediaries within their local area and processing mortgage applications for them. PTP will focus on ensuring that their reputation and standards will not be compromised and will be insisting all Partners attend a two-day training course that will encompasses all aspects of mortgage packaging. The first of these is planned for the end of January. The accuracy and speed will then be monitored by senior PTP staff to ensure that lenders and customers alike receive the very best service possible.

Rob Jupp, managing director of PTP, said: "It is great to be able to expand our proposition once again, this time with Franchise Partners. It is important to us at PTP to ensure that we are considering our brokers needs. This is another way that we are adding to the services that we provide for our intermediaries.

"Our plan is to ensure that everyone benefits from this Partnership with an excellent service and increased business for both our partners and us.

"I really am looking forward to working with all our Franchise Partners and am sure it will beneficial for all concerned."

David Graham, managing director of PTFS South Wales, commented: "We are really looking forward to working with PTP on this and forging a partnership with them. We have been working with PTP for a while now and there is a synergy between our two Companies. This is an avenue that we have wanted to explore and we are delighted that we can now pursue this. This partnership will strengthen our proposition locally and benefit all intermediaries in the area."
