Platform tees off for Children in Crisis

Children in Crisis is a UK charity committed to improving the lives of children around the world affected by conflict, deprivation, poverty, or other hidden crises by working with local communities to provide education, healthcare and protection.

The money was raised at a series of golf events, held over the summer, including Platform's annual corporate golf trip to Le Touquet, France, which took place on the 2nd & 3rd July. Players were asked to report on each other's indiscretions and misdemeanours while playing their rounds. Donations were then made in the form of fines for these incidents.

Jeremy Duncombe, Head of Sales at Platform commented:

"We're delighted to donate this money to Children in Crisis to help protect and improve the lives of children all across the world. Over the two days we all had a lot of fun, accepting our fines with good grace and raising a lot of money for a worthy cause. This is the 3rd year of fund raising via Platform's golf days and, in total, we have now raised almost £10k for good causes thanks to the generosity of our introducers."

Marc Jenner, Challenge Event Fundraiser at Children in Crisis commented:

"It is always staggering to witness the generosity of people who attend events, such as these. The lifeblood of Children in Crisis is the donations we receive from people, for without this support, our work would not be possible. So many children across the world suffer heartache, insecurity and fear due to war, poverty and deprivation. This donation will go some way to making a number of children feel safe and secure again."
