Platform appoints manager to develop e-commerce initiatives

Jim joins Platform from Aberdeen Asset Management Plc, where he was responsible for internal web development, managing the consolidation of CRM systems, and introducing cost effective e-marketing activities. Jim’s role at Platform will concentrate on website development along with examining software performance, and designing and implementing the company’s e-business strategy.

Platform enhanced its online facilities available to intermediaries in November 2004, redesigning its website with improved navigation and content. This included the successful launch of their online Pre-Sale Key Facts Illustration (KFI), which is the first of many upcoming initiatives.

Guy Batchelor, Sales & Marketing Director commented: “We are delighted to welcome Jim to the Platform team, to fulfill this important role in driving our e-commerce initiatives forward. Following the arrival of regulation in 2004, this year will see Platform preparing for a new phase in lending, and to stay ahead of the game we must continually assess and further develop our online facilities, in line with broker demands. This will include the launch of an online Decision in Principle facility in the summer. We believe that with the addition of Jim to the team we will achieve this.”
