PISCES adds Land Registry

PISCES was set up to create common standards in the property sector and open up the selling process to drive towards a more uniformed and cost-effective approach.

The Land Registry insisted the aim of PISCES matched its goals in e-conveyancing and John Wright, director of information systems at the Land Registry, believed everyone would see the benefits.

“We are delighted to sign up as members of PISCES and look forward to a productive partnership. Since many of our customers are already members of PISCES, we believe this development will be taken very positively as a sign of our commitment to e-conveyancing.”

Roger de Boehmler, director-general of PISCES, added: “We are pleased to welcome the Land Registry as an executive member of our open standards body. This partnership is really great news for the property industry, sellers and buyers and it will help speed up conveyancing. The property industry can adopt our e-standards in the knowledge that the whole industry is involved in their development.”

Stephen Foden, CEO of Spring Move, commented: “Anything to speed up the conveyancing process is to be warmly welcomed as the problem is that people do different things in different ways. If everyone communicated in one way, it would benefit all concerned in the conveyancing process.”
