Pink raises £1,600

The event, held on 28 September at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham, was hosted by Adrian Chiles and attended by over 370 guests.

The Halifax donated three prizes to help raise money for the charity: a crate of champagne, luxury hamper and a four ball round of golf at any UK Marriott golf course. Envelopes were placed on each of the tables and guests were asked to donate. Business cards were then collected and at the end of the night three cards were randomly selected to provide the names of the winners for the three prizes:

  • Crate of champagne: Chris Potts from The Mortgage Partnership
  • Luxury hamper: Mark Lofthouse from Mortgage Brain
  • Four ball round of golf: Declan Santucci from Oyster
Back at Pink Home Loans’ head office the following morning, a further £135 was raised by taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, taking the total to £1,735.

Naomi Neiland, fund raising manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, commented: “We are delighted with the money raised by Pink Home Loans and would like to thank everyone who took part. This money will help to improve the lives of people affected by cancer both now and in the future. We are here to provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and to push for better cancer care. Cancer affects us all. We can all help."

Pink’s managing director Tony Jones, said: “I’m delighted that we have managed to raise so much money for Macmillan Cancer Support and I’d like to thank everyone who got involved to make this possible, both guests at the awards ceremony and staff at Pink Home Loans.”
