Pink Home Loans appoints new national sales manager

Ian will head up a team of six regional business development managers and his main focus will be to develop relationships with Pink’s intermediary members and improve the quality of service offered by BDMs.

Strengthening the sales team will support the ongoing improvements made by Pink Home Loans in terms of improving service levels. Recent initiatives include the regionalisation of the operations and mortgage desk teams to provide increased access and reduce turnaround times.

BDM contact is an important service to customers and research conducted on behalf of Pink Home Loans found that quality of BDM visits is a key driver of customer loyalty and attitude.

David Copland, sales and marketing director at Pink, comments: “Regular contact with a business development manager can help intermediaries get the most of their relationship with Pink Home Loans. Ian will be responsible for developing customer relationships and improving the quality of service offered by BDMs to Premier members in terms of total business support and advice.”

Ian joins Pink from Mortgage Express, where he was regional intermediary sales manager for five years. During his time at Mortgage Express, he was responsible for a team of six intermediary sales managers and managed a number of key accounts.

Ian worked for Mortgage Express parent company, Bradford & Bingley, as an underwriter for 4 years before moving to the specialist lender. Ian has also held positions at Legal & General and Halifax.

Pink Home Loans is also looking to strengthen its sales team even further and is currently in the process of recruiting a business development manager for the Central London area.
