Paradigm unveils preferred partner

The new commercial lending partnership will see Paradigm's members able to access CMD’s range of services including its open panel of lenders, its range of products including adverse and self-certification and its specialist property development team.

CMD operates a two-tier system. Tier 1 allows CMD to support the adviser and their client through packaging services; Tier 2 means CMD is passed the client’s details and deals with the case direct. Advisers earn the same whichever tier is chosen. CMD also pays its procuration fees direct, guarantees not to cross-sell to member’s clients and offers underwriting case ownership from start to finish.

John Coffield, head of Paradigm Mortgage Services, commented: “The commercial mortgage market offers intermediaries and advisers a growing income opportunity and Paradigm wanted to ensure its members received the best support in this area. We have chosen Commercial Mortgage Desk because we believe they cover all bases when it comes to commercial lending.

“CMD have a strong service reputation and will provide Paradigm members with flexibility in terms of the way they can work together. Members can chose to work in tandem with CMD’s commercial expertise or they can introduce to CMD and feel certain that their client is in the safest of hands. We believe CMD will offer the highest levels of service to Paradigm members and we look forward to a rewarding working relationship.”

Ann-Marie O’Neill, head of sales & marketing at Commercial Mortgage Desk, said: “Being involved with Paradigm and their proposition is a tremendous opportunity for CMD. We have seen a sharp increase in the number of introducers wanting to get involved with commercial mortgages over the past couple of years and many of them are understanding the importance of using an independent commercial specialist such as CMD. Yet due to the complexity of some commercial mortgages many prefer to use our introduction-only service which allows then to concentrate on their core business.”
