Packagers form alliance for Principal status

Bristol based Manor Mortgages and Members Mortgages based in Derby are to work together to offer supporting brokers full Compliance and Regulatory support. They will be running seminars designed to help brokers through the regulatory ‘minefield’. As Appointed Representative status will not be everyone’s choice, both companies intend to offer a menu of other products and services allowing brokers flexibility in how they do business with the Companies.

Comments

Tim Keast – Chairman of Manor Mortgages and Members Mortgages: “Mortgage regulation is forcing the intermediary market to make fundamental decisions on how they transact mortgage business from 1st November 2004. But the decision must be considered much sooner. Both Manor and Members are well placed to support professional mortgage intermediaries”

James Harries – Sales & Marketing Director, Manor Mortgages: “We believe that offering our supporting brokers the services of a tied agency facility is a natural extension to the excellent business partnerships we believe we have built over the past seven years.”

Clive Watkins – Sales & Marketing Director, Members Mortgages “Despite our name, Members Mortgages does not have members, rather we have a large group of supporting mortgage professionals that we work closely with. Principal status seems a logical step in cementing these relationships”.
