Overseas mortgages - a new source of revenue?

This is the UK’s biggest event for financial intermediaries, and Conti says that it’s well placed to help delegates beat the credit crunch by offering them a new avenue of business and an additional income stream. This fits perfectly with the focus of this year’s MBE which is on business diversification and putting the mortgage market’s stakeholders in contact with each other to ensure businesses are best placed to work through the current financial turmoil.

On both days, Conti will have a team of experienced advisers on hand to discuss the benefits of becoming involved with the overseas mortgage market and how it can help. All the necessary information about this market and how Conti fits within it will be available on the stand itself or to take away on a memory stick and downloaded to delegates’ own computers. Delegates can register as an introducer to Conti at the event, or afterwards via Conti’s website at www.mortgagesoverseas.com.

Commission rates start at 25% per case, but higher levels can be achieved when volume increases or through membership of a qualifying group or network. Conti can advise intermediaries individually on what rate will apply to them.

Simon Conn, Conti’s Sales & Marketing Director, says: “The central theme of this year’s Expo is business diversification and, as such, Conti will be on hand to offer practical advice on selling overseas mortgages, an area many intermediaries may well not have explored before now.

“Despite the current economic issues in the UK, there remains an appetite for overseas mortgages from people who are retiring abroad, emigrating or investing in the overseas property market, due to the value for money and excellent standard of living it can offer. We want to encourage intermediaries to look into this opportunity.”

Simon Conn will be hosting one of the event’s seminar sessions, outlining the opportunities available to intermediaries through the overseas mortgage market. He will explain why people are continuing to buy abroad, how they fund the purchase, why overseas mortgages are a good idea, the advantages of using a specialist, and why intermediaries should get involved.
