Oval’s John Bartley wins Woolwich award

‘Top of the League' is a Woolwich campaign to seek out and recognise the star players within the UK intermediary market who deliver excellence for their customers and/or the community in which they work month after month.

John spends his working day developing his business nationally and during his remaining spare time he allocates many hours to charity work. He is an active member of the The Rotary Club, whilst he also supports the ‘Special Effect’ charity that is dedicated to helping young people with disabilities. John sponsors charity golf days, competes in a ‘Tough Guy’ Challenge twice yearly, and took part in Matt Hampson’s ‘Walk to the Guinness Premiership Final’ in May which involved taking a week off work to walk from Rugby to Twickenham to deliver the trophy – over £100K was raised in total. John is also setting up a local youth cricket team in addition to the ongoing charity work.

Given the challenges brokers have faced over the past two years, this has not watered down John’s commitment to charity work – he is committed to providing both a best in class service to his high net worth clients and participating in many fund raising events for those deserving of support which is why he was chosen for the award.
