Openwork appoints new director

He will assume responsibility for the development of all of Openwork’s key propositions, including its investment, pension and mortgage offerings, as well as marketing communications.

Martin joins from F&C Investment, where he was proposition director with responsibility for all aspects of the asset manager’s UK retail proposition and sales and marketing interaction.

Prior to working at F&C, Martin was business development director at wrap provider Nucleus Financial Group, which he co-founded in 2006 and he had previously been a founder-director of consultancy Abacus Financial Marketing.

Mary-Anne McIntyre, chief executive officer at Openwork, said: “Philip brings with him a wealth of experience in many financial services sectors and areas including investments, platforms and advice businesses, as well as a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges advisers face over the coming years.

“His knowledge and enthusiasm will be hugely beneficial to us as we continue to drive the business forward for the benefit of our owner-advisers.”

Martin said: “I am very pleased to be joining the business at such an exciting time for advisers and Openwork in particular.

“The business has a clear strategy in place to support advisers of all types through the transition to the RDR and beyond and I look forward to helping Openwork fulfil its undoubted potential.”
