N&P voted best for electronic reliability

Duncan Pownall, Mortgage Development Manager at Bradford and Bingley plc said: "A survey of our mortgage advisers reveals that Norwich and Peterborough Building Society has the best lender site for usability and reliability and proved to be the easiest to register with. In a business environment that is set to become more and more dependant upon online support, we are pleased to see that N&P is ahead of the game in providing a suitable solution."

N&P's electronic trading system is available to the whole market through a simple registration process. It offers mortgage brokers a complete solution;

- Access to key facts illustrations (KFIs) via N&P's intermediaries' website -

www.npbs-intermediaries.co.uk . The importance of mortgage brokers providing their clients with accurate KFIs cannot be over-emphasised. N&P's KFIs are accurate.

- A quick 'approval in principle' facility avoiding the need to put in the full mortgage application information.

- Case tracking - allows brokers to see at the click of a button how their clients' applications are progressing.

- The ability to save partly completed applications, avoiding the risk of losing data, if brokers do not have sufficient time to complete a mortgage application

- Offline facility enabling intermediaries to complete applications away from the office with an easy download facility

- N&P's intermediary service team and regional business managers are also on hand to help brokers with any questions.

Stewart Hunter, head of introduced mortgages at Norwich and Peterborough Building Society, said: "We thought that brokers would be impressed with how simple the processing and submission of applications is and how easy it is to use the case tracking facility - which has been supported by the tremendous feedback we've had on our new system."

Stewart added: "Our electronic mortgage application system was up and running on "M" day offering electronic KFIs, AIP, mortgage application and case tracking systems. We were one of the first to launch a fully electronic trading system and it's been even more successful than we expected, with countless favourable comments as to its useability.
