Operational and BDM hires to streamline case handling and strengthen broker partnerships

Two mortgage lenders have announced key appointments aimed at enhancing their operational and broker support functions.
Norton Group has named Amy Husband (pictured left) as its new head of operations, as the Rotherham-based financial services firm continues to invest in service delivery and operational efficiency.
Husband joins from Perenna, where she was also head of operations, managing underwriting, customer care, and servicing. Her previous roles include leadership positions at Mojo Mortgages, Atom Bank, and INTOUCH Financial Advice.
In her new role, Husband will oversee Norton’s mortgage and loan operations. She will work across internal teams to improve turnaround times, strengthen communication with brokers, and enhance the overall case journey.
“Amy brings with her a wealth of operational expertise and a deep understanding of what brokers need to deliver for their clients,” said Paul Stringer, co-chief executive at Norton Group. “Her experience in fast-paced, regulated environments will help us refine our internal processes and continue to deliver a responsive, reliable service to the brokers we work with. We’re really pleased to welcome her to the team.”
Meanwhile, Paragon Bank has appointed two new business development managers (BDMs) in its mortgages division, with Stephen Harrison (pictured centre) supporting the North East of England and Eloise Potts (pictured right) covering the North West.
Harrison joins with over eight years of experience at London and Country, where he held roles including adviser, team manager, and trainer, before founding his own brokerage.
Potts moves from Aldermore, where she spent more than eight years and progressed from underwriting into a BDM role.
Both report to Sam Debenham, regional manager of mortgage sales.
“Having worked in BDM, broker and underwriting roles means that their knowledge and experience couldn’t be better suited,” Debenham said. “They know how brokers like to work and how they don’t so are well placed to support them.”
“Bringing in Eloise and Stephen bolsters our mortgages sales team and highlights how Paragon is attracting the best talent from across the industry,” added Jason Wilde, head of sales for Paragon Bank’s Mortgages division. “They’ll work closely with firms in the North West and North East as part of our distribution strategy.
“This is focused on building relationships with a wider network of brokerages to write more simple business easily and swiftly, in addition to the complex cases we’ve built a reputation for during our 30 years of buy-to-let lending.”
