NLA unveils e-learning for landlords

The UK’s first ever e-learning programme for landlords in the private rented sector can be used as a structured learning tool, with competence automatically recorded as part of a landlord’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

This link in with the programme means that landlords could help gain recognition from various UK accreditation schemes.

The scheme also offers landlords direct access to information and advice on all aspects of letting residential property. This information ranges from issues affecting pre-tenancy, right through to ending a tenancy.

It also has a large number of websites providing further information including links to relevant regulation and legislation.

“Residential landlords now have a structured way they can keep up-to-date with relevant changes that affect them and their properties," said Alison Perkins, landlord development manager, NLA.

"It provides an invaluable resource for the small buy-to-let investor and the large portfolio landlord alike and will help raise standards in rented accommodation up and down the country.”

The e-learning programme is free to all NLA members. Non-members can subscribe for £40 per year.
