NatWest hires six BDMs

Joining the phone-based BDM team is Catherine Mattam, Tom Southwell, Cheryl Jones and Hannah Buckenham.

The two field BDMs are Gerard Mills, who will operate in Central London, and James Chutter, who will work with an intermediary panel in the South West and Wales.

Mark Bullard, head of sales at NatWest Intermediary Solutions, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to add six more talented BDMs to our team.

“Being on the frontline, our award-winning BDMs have established a reputation for being proactive, knowledgeable and helpful.

“We regularly engage with intermediaries to get their feedback on our service and our BDMs are consistently singled out for the excellent level of support they provide.

“We are committed to maintaining a first class service and have invested further this year in our LiveTALK instant messaging platform and the creation of a BDM support team to help free up our BDMs so that they can spend more time with each individual broker they deal with.”

Field BDM James Chutter has worked in financial services for the last 10 years, most recently for NatWest Private Banking, where he advised on large complex mortgages for high net worth clients.

Gerard Mills joins NatWest from the Sheriffs Office, where he helped develop its commercial land and property department, while he previously spent six years as an estate agency-based financial adviser before moving into field sales with MGM Assurance, Home of Choice and Homeloan Partnership.

Phone-based recruit Catherine Mattam has been with NatWest for eight years, spending three years working in the LiveTALK broker instant messaging team.

Previously she provided phone-based support to brokers as a business partnership representative.

Tom Southwell has spent the last 16 months with NatWest’s business banking operation, while he previously worked for The One account.

Cheryl Jones has 30 years’ experience in financial services, having held roles with Barclays, Halifax, Santander and Marks and Spencer, before spending the last 18 months as a NatWest customer adviser.

Hannah Buckenham has been a NatWest protection consultant in the retail arm for the last two years.
