Accessible via Nationwide Building Society’s website, the alert provides registered users with alerts on new rates, products and service enhancements, links to Nationwide’s affordability calculator, A-Z lending criteria, and a remortgage calculator. There is also an option to receive tailored information on property prices in a specific region.

Commenting on the launch of Nationwide Express, Peter Leydon, divisional director of intermediary markets at Nationwide Building Society, said: “The feedback we have had from mortgage intermediaries is that they value clear and timely updates. They also require quick access to tools that will help clients complete their mortgage applications. This service will make it quicker and easier for valued intermediaries, and their clients, to do business with us.”

Tom Marinan, a broker at Easypay Mortgages, commented: “I personally won’t be that interested in this as I have one already from another lender and I find it to be a bit of a nuisance, to be honest. I can get the information I need when I access my sourcing system and from the mortgage trade press.”
