Mortgages plc adds to sales team

The recent appointments in the team are as follows:

Mark Harrison – has been promoted to national sales manager, with responsibility for managing the sales team. Mark, who was previously senior regional manager for the North, will take over day-to-day responsibility for managing the team from Pete Thomson. Pete will retain overall responsibility for Mortgages plc sales activities, but will focus more of his time supporting key projects and strategic developments, such as the On Demand mortgage system.

David Eaves – joins Mortgages plc from The Mortgage Experience to take up the position of area manager, dealing with packagers in the North of England.

Ed Hanlon – joins Mortgages plc from Praxis. Ed takes responsibility as area manager in the South.

Louise Matthews – also becomes an area manager for the South, having previously worked with All Types of Mortgages.

Peter Beaumont, sales & marketing director at Mortgages plc, said: “These appointments confirm that Mortgages plc has one of the largest and most professional sales teams in the intermediary mortgage market. We are actually still recruiting but our sales team now numbers over 30 staff and provides intermediaries with comprehensive support, both at a local level and via the telephone and internet.

“Our continuing investment in our sales team is tangible evidence of our commitment not only to provide intermediaries with a first class level of support, but also of our ambition to make Mortgages plc a dominant player in the UK non-conforming mortgage market.

“On a personal note I am particularly delighted that Mark will be taking over the reigns for day-to-day management of the sales team from Pete. Mark has done an outstanding job for us and deserves his promotion. This will also free up Pete to become far more involved in helping to steer strategic developments at Mortgages plc. This doesn’t mean that Pete will no longer be seen by our distribution partners – far from it, it’s very difficult to keep a person like Pete hidden for too long!”
