Mortgage Times announces Lighthouse packaging agreement

In addition, The Mortgage Times Group will be packaging all self-certification and buy-to-let applications. Mortgage Times said Lighthouse members will have access to its enquiry helpdesk consisting of 14 staff, as well as support from its 28 business development managers based nationwide. White label services including marketing support and bespoke online integration between both companies’ systems are also offered.

The Mortgage Times Group has 21 lenders on its packaged panel with many offers being produced in-house and all accepting its generic application form which it said will make it easier for Lighthouse members to place mortgage applications via one source regardless of the chosen lender. The Group recently announced record packaged application volumes and has seen an overall growth of more than 200 per cent on previous years’ figures.

Chris May, director at The Mortgage Times Group, said: “We have been in talks with Lighthouse for a while and we are delighted to have been chosen as one of two dedicated packagers for its group.”

He added: “We are always looking to work with other networks to form mutually-beneficial alliances and I believe our partnership with the Lighthouse Group will demonstrate how two larger firms in their respective fields can work together to offer a highly-competitive service package.”

Sian Brown, national sales manager at Trustguard Credit Services, said the agreement showed packagers are still an integral part of the mortgage industry. “For Mortgage Times this is very good news. It just goes to show how packagers are still very much an asset to the mortgage business,” she explained.
