Mortgage Support Network receives ‘Minded to Authorise’ letter

The Network that launched in February 2003 and has over 600 member firms and 1500 advisors offers the most comprehensive package available to brokers considering AR status with access to every lender, not a panel, and some of the leading life and general insurance providers with top rates of procuration fees and commission. At the same time all P.I., FSA, Ombudsman and Compensation Scheme, mortgage and life sourcing, desktop compliance and sales software, sales and compliance field and office support are all covered within their single turnover charge.

Jason Graham, Managing Director commented, “As we are not owned by a lender or life provider this is obviously excellent news and another milestone in the success of Mortgage Support Network has now been surpassed. Having actually met with the FSA’s representatives we were delighted to be able to demonstrate the levels of experience and skill within our company and the robust systems and controls that we have put in place to assist both the sales and compliance of our Appointed Representatives. Our recruitment of ARs is progressing extremely well and now that we have received our “Minded to Authorise” letter I am confident the interest and commitment already shown from potential additional members will quickly convert into further applications.

The company’s Sales Director, Peter Ransome, believes brokers can now look forward to a new level of support as an AR stating, “Our board of Directors have, between them, many years sales experience in both running a Network and as actual mortgage and general insurance practitioners, and so understand the day to day requirements of the mortgage professional. We aim to continue to offer our AR members the highest level of day to day support and service and be instrumental in assisting them, where possible, in generating additional sales in a compliant manner.”

The Network has also echoed the sentiments of other approved Principals stating that brokers who have not yet decided on their Principal must do so quickly in order to allow sufficient time for that firm to carry out the necessary checks and references and for the FSA to be able to authorise the firms Approved Person in time for Regulation.
