Long Term Fixed Rate

The Britannia Building Society is offering a five year fixed rate at 5.19% (APR 5.6%). The valuation fee is £150, with an arrangement fee of £399.

Short Tem Discount

The Norwich & Peterborough Building Society is offering a 2 year discounted scheme at an interest rate of 2.74% (APR 5.3%), with a valuation fee of £225, and no arrangement fee, subject to redemption penalties.

Long Term Discount

The Lambeth Building Society is offering a 5 year discounted scheme at a current rate of 3.7% (APR 5.3%), with a valuation fee of £200 and an arrangement fee of £295, with no redemption penalties.

Cashback

The Northern Rock is offering a mortgage that gives a 10% cashback on the amount borrowed, at a variable rate, currently 5.99% (APR 6.2%), with a valuation fee of £385 and an arrangement fee of £595, subject to redemption penalties.

Buy to Let *

The NatWest is offering a buy to let discounted mortgage until the 30th April 2006, currently at 4.49% (APR 6.2%) with a valuation fee of £225, an arrangement fee of £200 and no penalties.

Remortgage**

For those looking to remortgage, the Chelsea Building Society is offering a three year discounted deal at 4.14% (APR 5.6%), with a free valuation, free legal work and no arrangement fees.

Tracker

This week's best tracker deal comes from the Abbey, at base rate minus 0.06%, currently equating to 3.94% (APR 5.8%), with a valuation fee of £250 and an arrangement fee of £299.
